The Detroit Pistons have agreed (in principle) to a signing of Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva. That’s a sign of one thing, Sheed is no longer going to a Piston. Next stop in the Sheed saga? Boston? Cleveland? San Antonio? Those are the three most likely stops for the ex-jail trailblazer.
All three could use Sheed to push them into the championship.

ESPN is reporting that ZBo is being traded to the Memphis Griz for Q. Richardson. This can’t end well for ZBo or the Griz.
Interesting things are happening in Blazer land. The official courting of Hedo has begun, but not everyone is happy. In fact, quite a few out there are down right mad. Rudy’s people have been in contact with Blazers management, if Hedo comes, Rudy goes, period. Or so they say. It’s not quite that simple, since Rudy can’t go play for just anyone without being traded. His other option is going back to Europe, but then again, the Blazers would have to give the go ahead for that to occur.
Is Hedo the piece to push the Blazers over the top? Can Portland afford to lose Rudy’s three point threat? What if Blake is traded, then don’t the Blazers value Rudy’s shooting even more? Lots of questions, very few answers.
Yao Ming is reportably not recovering well from his broken foot. ESPN is reporting that he could miss all of next season, if not even longer. I hate to see a player go down, but with no T-Mac, no Yao and possibly no Ron Ron, Houston could be a VERY different team next year. Then again, Yao and Ron could be back at nearly full strength come the All Star break and they will once again be a western power.

Villanueva is not being given an offer from the Bucks, making him as free as a free agent can be. I assume Portland has no interest in signing him, but he will fit somewhere (although probably overpriced) and make some team even better.
It appears that Channing Frye has worn a Blazers uniform for the last time. Jason Quick is reporting that Portland will not offer the backup forward a contract, freeing him to sign anywhere in the NBA. Frye is an on court talent but off court star. With his personality and love for the city of Portland, I for one am hoping he comes back (someday) as an announcer or commentator, he’d really shine.
The resurgance to NBA player from long-term disability was acctually imprssive, but even if his work ethic has improved, his jail blazer attitude hasn’t. From the AP:
FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. (AP) — Darius Miles of the Memphis Grizzlies has been charged with possession of marijuana after police searched his car during a traffic stop.
Miles is free on bond.
Police say Miles was pulled over in the St. Louis suburb of Fairview Heights on Wednesday night for allegedly failing to use a turn signal. Police ticketed him for driving with a suspended license.
When the car was towed off, police say a search of it uncovered a misdemeanor amount of marijuana in a bag.
Miles played in 35 games for the Grizzlies this past season and averaged 3.5 points. Over his six-year NBA career, he’s averaging 10 points a game.
Just wanted to give you a guys a preview of what’s to come for the new site:

We don’t expect to get redesign done for awhile (couple months) so bare with us. We’re just two guys with little to no web design experience trying to feel our way around this stuff. Until then, expect the usual updates to the site…which is virtually none.
Big ups to my friend Eric for donating his time and effort into the banner.
